Leading up to Sunday’s game against the Cardinals, six players did not practice.
– Jairus Byrd (Knee)
– Darnell Ellerbe (Toe)
– Tim Hightower (Knee)
– Keenan Lewis (Hip)
– Davis Tull (Shoulder)
– C.J. Spiller (Knee)
Byrd, Lewis and Ellerbe not practicing is really not a surprise. Byrd is reportedly going to miss a couple of more weeks. Lewis is recovering from hip surgery. Ellerbe might wind up practicing later this week. If not, look for Ramon Humber to fill in for him in sub packages along side Stephone Anthony.
Hightower and Tull saw extended time during the fourth pre-season game. Tull’s is a bit worrisome. He is coming back from shoulder surgery, and his talents are sorely needed on 3rd down and special teams.
The good news is Khiry Robinson, Brandon Browner and Kenny Vaccaro all fully practiced.
We will update if there are any significant changes later in the week.
