Wednesday Links – Dwight Howard Named Defensive POY, OSU and Michigan’s NFL Success, Jiri Hudler’s Possible NHL Return, & Remebering 4/20

The music world lost a legend yesterday. R.I.P. Keith “Guru” Elam.

  • Dwight Howard was, unsurprisingly, named the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season. I’d like to see him edge out LeBron for the MVP, but it won’t happen.

  • At Babcock’s Death Stare, Kyle looks at Jiri Hudler’s current contract situation and how likely it is that he’ll rejoin the Red Wings next season. I’d like to see Hudler back in the D next season, but not at the expense of someone like Helm, Eaves, or Abdelkader. Make sure to forgive the first paragraph, the post was written after Game Three.
  • Check out an awesome (and appropriate, given yesterday’s date) post from Club Seats: the top 5 guys in the NBA who look like they smoke a lot of weed. I’m pretty sure this list could have been a lot longer, but hey, this shit takes longer than you think. Make sure to watch the Delonte West KFC vid.

  • Speaking of weed, check out the only bong that’s longer than my dong at Busted Coverage. Bonus points to these guys for playing the biggest stoner song ever in the background.
Today’s random video and highlight after the jump…

RANDOM AWESOME VIDEO OF THE DAY

A baseball game between Florida Atlantic and Western Kentucky was delayed for a couple hours, but the fans still got their money’s worth.

ROB’S HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY

Martin Brodeur makes what was rightly called a “Hall of Fame save” on ESPN. This is unreal.
