- Today is the last day to vote for the MLB All-Star team, so get out and vote for Miguel Cabrera (and your other favorite Tigers stars). Cabrera wants to start, so make it happen Tigers faithful.

- Cincinnati Bengals RB Cedric Benson was arrested yesterday on assault charges from an incident that occurred over a month ago. There’s not a lot of info on what exactly happened just yet, but it doesn’t look good for the resurgent Benson (or his 2010 fantasy owners).
- The University of South Carolina baseball team won its first national championship last night, beating UCLA 2-1 in extra innings. Admittedly, I don’t really care but I’m happy for Leftover Hot Dog, a USC-specific Bloguin site that’s given D4L some dap online and on Twitter before.
- Not sure who to cheer for now that the U.S. is out of the World Cup? Lingerie model Larissa Riquelme not only wants Paraguay to win, she’s promised to go streaking if they do. Plus, their jerseys are pretty dope. [h/t my buddy Andrew]

- Dan Levy of On the DL got a chance to speak to Ian Darke, the commentator that called Landon Donovan’s game-winning goal against Algeria that put the U.S. through to the knockout stages. It was both a great call and a great interview.

While all the free agent focus has been on the NBA’s crop of stars, the NHL’s free agency period also starts on July 1st. Over at Nightmare on Helm Street, Drew doesn’t see the Red Wings making too many big moves.
