It is time for the annual bold predictions here at Rams Headquarters. Each week our writers will be listing bold predictions that may happen during the Rams games. Week 1: Rams vs 49ers.

Todd Gurley will rush for over 150 rushing yards

Last time Gurley faced the 49ers defense, we rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown. The running back made a comment to the media last week that he doesn’t want to be rushing for over 30+ carries every single game, but is that really true.

We all know the Rams passing game will be rough to start out with, hence feed Gurley and early. The Los Angeles line is improving year by year, and they will start 2016 leading Gurley to over 150 rushing yards.

Tavon Austin will have more rushing yards than receiving yards

Jeff Fisher is a run first offense, and with the weak run defense of San Fransisco, expect the game plan to run right over the 49ers. Austin has the ability to create space if given, and those sweeps are his favorite in the playbook.

Yes Austin is listed as a WR, but expect Keenum to target more of Britt and Quick with them having the size advantage along with his new TE’s. I expect Austin to run for around 60 rushing yards in the game.

Aaron Donald will not record a single sack

Call me crazy, but Aaron Donald will not record a single sack in tonight’s game. Here’s why. Everybody now knows who Donald is and why they need to stop him early. Expect the 49ers to double team and sometimes triple team him all day.

However that will leave other Pro Bowl players Robert Quinn, William Hayes, Michael Brockers and the rest of the #MobSquad to rack up the sacks. Donald will still be a huge threat on defense, but expect his friends to steal the show with the sacks.

What are your bold predictions? Leave them in the comments below.
