Fact: Rashard Mendenhall’s nickname in college was The Undertaker.
Denver is playing at Kansas City. As we found out a few weeks ago, anything can happen in KC. Denver is a game up on everyone in the wild card race, but lost head-to-head to both Pittsburgh and Baltimore.
Jacksonville and Houston are playing in Jacksonville. The Jags are one game ahead of Houston in the playoff race. A loss would almost certainly knock Houston out of the hunt. Jacksonville won the first matchup 31-24 when Maurice Jones-Drew ran for 120 yards and 3 TDs.
The Death Eaters are in Green Bay on Monday night. Their pass defense has been weak all year. If the Green Bay O-line can give Rodgers time, he’ll pick them apart. Very losable game here for Voldemort.
Miami gets New England at home this week. The Patriots haven’t won a road game in America this year. The Patriots are also notoriously good in weeks after they lose. Something’s going to break here. Sadly for the Steelers, it would be more helpful if New England won.
Tennessee is in Indianapolis this week in what many are billing as the game of the week. At 5-6, Tennessee needs a win to keep their playoff hopes alive, and they just might get it. Indy has been on the verge of losing the past few weeks, and Tennessee might be able to beat them if they can control the game on the ground. Just like the Miami situation, it would be helpful for us if Indy won.
The Jets knocked the Bills out of the playoff hunt on Thursday night, moving New York to 6-6 and keeping them right in the thick of things.
As long as the Steelers take care of business, we’ll be in good shape. We need Jacksonville to lose in order for us to control our own destiny moving forward. First things first, beat the Raiders.
