So I’m going to be trying a new format. Not even s format really just going to try a different way of writing my big article of the week. A little change never hurt anything right? Right?!
Let’s get into it. With daily fantasy, like any fantasy, it’s about 4 things. Injuries, hot streaks, matchups and luck. A whole ton of luck. Sometimes Andrew Luck. He had a huge game last week but it was against a terrible Jets defense. This week is against a stout Texans D and I truly think it’s a trap start. If Clowney plays, Texans D could be having a day with sacks as the offensive line is… tissue paper to say it nicely. This also spells horror for Gore whom could be a totally touchdown dependent option. That’s only one game though.
It’s playoff time for redraft and almost playoff time for NFL teams so there is not one guy that isn’t sore. Look for boom or busts now as opposed to relying on them in the beginning of the ceiling. IAFL loves Tyreke Hill and now he’s turned into a start. We’ve also loved Taylor Gabriel and his upside is through the roof. And primary reason other than hidden talent? Injuries. Sanu may be out and Julio is battling a turf toe injury. These are the things you have to look at. Cam Newton against a not as terrible Chargers defense. This whole season he’s been banged up and his play has suffered for it. His suffering includes making his receivers suffer as well. Greg Olsen! A top 3 tight end! Has done NOTHING the past few weeks and it falls on terrible QB play so even though these guys are superstars, I would not play them.
Now looking at a hot streak I look at Jermaine Gresham. He’s so cheap and has been pretty productive. 2 out the last 3 games with touchdowns and a ton of targets. He should have had one last week but couldn’t haul it in. While we are on the tight end conversation how about Ladarius Green? Cheap, effective, but I’m still not sure I can trust him. It’s a bit too soon for me but numbers don’t lie and he ONLY comes in for receiving since he most likely has no idea how to block.
Let’s talk about people on fire. Andy Daltons hair isn’t the only flame that’s happening, with 2 straight games at 280 yards and a touchdown he will be facing the Browns abysmal secondary. This opens up opportunities for Lafell and Boyd to really take off but apparently the weather is supposed to be terrible. So how about Jeremy Hill to take over once Daltons fingers get too cold and wait… he did what last game he played against the Browns? 19 YPC?!?! Wow! Yes over 150 yards and 2 touchdowns on 9 carries. I’m pretty much starting every Bengal this game as I actually think this will be a high scoring game. Rg3 comes in for his first start since week one and in PPR leagues this could help Crowells production. Yes, Crow. Duke Johnson has been nothing and Crow is stealing the catches. A risky but super cheap play for flex on Draft Kings.
With this new format I will still be keeping a few of my old segments while bringing in a couple new ones. Let’s finish this article off with a bang. That wasn’t corny right?
Redemption Player of the week: Todd Gurley – Each WEEK I have torn my hair out because of this guy and I’m already thinning as it is. This matchup is solid though and I’m predicting 2 redzone touchdowns and 79 rushing yards. Exactly 79.
BIG DAWG TO SIT OF THE WEEK !!!!
Guys… don’t hate me. But Julio Jones is my sit. Turf toe hurts badly and you cannot do the same cuts as you do normally. This doesnt bode well for a few weeks actually. I’d be worried if you are relying on him in redraft playoffs.
Worst game of the week: Jets vs 49ers. I really don’t need to go any further but both of these teams are god awful and honestly even though Cleveland has 0 wins I truly think they are worse than the Browns. The only positive I can see is Matt Forte. 9ers run d is so terrible so if you have him put him in.
Please give some feedback if you like the new format! If not? We are very very receptive to feedback! Good luck IAFL/Super Two Sports family!
