Well, there’s only one coaching spot left in the NFL, the GM of that team happens to be best friends with Brian’s dad, and that same GM happen to work with Brian in San Diego.
Remember, the Bills can’t talk to Schottenheimer till after the Jets season ends. I wouldn’t mind seeing Schottenheimer come to Buffalo. He worked with Phillip Rivers before, and has done a great job in calling plays with a rookie QB at the helm in the pressure cooker of New York.
Heck, I can already make up his coaching staff if he comes to Buffalo. Take Bill Callahan (Jets line coach and former Raiders head coach) to Buffalo as your offensive coordinator and hire Jim Mora Jr. as your defensive coordinator (Hell, both Jim and Brian had fathers who coached in the NFL).

Take a look at Kawika Mitchell’s latest tweet about the Marshawn Lynch situation:
BS! My son/Marshawn is misunderstood and harassed n B’lo. Sad.
That’s not good that Mr. Bills twitter himself is saying that cops are harassing a Bills player. Look, whether Marshawn Lynch is guilty or not for stealing 20 bucks from someone, one thing for sure is that this hasn’t exactly been a banner 12 months for the city of Buffalo and the Bills organization. Think about it.
On the Buffalo city front, you get Donte Whitner’s jewelery being stolen and Leodis McKelvin’s lawn getting destroyed. Now you get the impression from Mitchell that Lynch is getting the “Crash” movie treatment in Buffalo. Not exactly a great way to recruit players when their stereotypes of the city already consists of blizzards and igloos.
To the organization front, you get T.O. coming to Buffalo, only to become a complete bust, which I’m sure he’ll defend by crapping all over the team’s personnel choices. Then you get Dick Jauron being fired. Wait? What?! how is that bad?
On top of that, you have an organization that hasn’t made the playoffs in ten years, can’t get an established coach to come here, and could be moving after the owner passes away. Now why wouldn’t you want to come here?-

So CNNSI is reporting that Leslie Frazier is the early leading candidate for the Bills job. Whether you like Frazier or not, I wouldn’t read too much into it. The Bills have only interviewed two people. I also don’t want to hear about how great his interview was either. Remember how impressed Tom Donahoe was when he interviewed Greg Williams because he brought out charts and theories of passing-tivity.
Look, this isn’t against Leslie, his defenses have played well in Minnesota. But I want an offensive guy. For the last 10 years, Bills fans have been subject to seeing some of the worst offensive performances in team history. Doesn’t it seem like every year the Bills are on pace to break some dubious offensive futility record? I’m sick of it. Unless Frazier can get an established offensive coordinator to run the offense, it’s a no-go on my part.

Look, I’ve said it before, Bill Cowher isn’t coming to Buffalo. However, a part of me was cheering on the Dallas Cowboys last night. Obviously, you all know that Wade Phillips job might have been in jeopardy if the Cowboys lost. Which would only make it seem more logical for Cowher to go there and eliminate the 1% chance he may end up in Buffalo.
However, by the end of the third quarter of last night’s game, I was disgusted with cheering for Dallas. How many times do we need to get cutaways of Jerry Jones hugging everyone and shaking hands with George W. Bush. I wonder if Jones has a direct phone line to NBC sports producer Dick Ebersol during games. You know, so he can yell for the camera to be shown on him when he has an opportunity to be with someone famous.

Um, so who would have called the Ravens scoring 24 first quarter points against the Patriots? Maybe Cam Cameron wouldn’t be so bad in Buffalo. Look, I know he had a terrible time in Miami as the head coach, but that was a bad team that was bottoming out. He’s done a great job with Joe Flacco, something Brian Billick could never do with any of the quarterbacks he had in Baltimore. Don’t forget he worked as the offensive coordinator with Phillip Rivers and Drew Brees during his time in San Diego.
