If you watched tonight’s Sixers game you probably thought that they had the Chicago Bulls beat but it all changed in the 2nd half when Derrick Rose put the team on his back. The Chicago Bulls defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 96-91.

Derrick Rose led all players in the game with 35 points on 12 of 23 shooting and 4 of 7 from the three point line. Rose also had 8 assists in the game. The Sixers tonight had trouble getting offensive and defensive rebounds and that was caused by Bulls PF Joakim Noah. Noah had 18 rebounds (11 defensive and 7 offensive).

On the Sixers side of things, PG Jrue Holiday started off hot going toe to toe with Derrick Rose but he tailed off in the second half as the Sixers offense did. Holiday finished the game with 16 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds. The Sixers didn’t get much production from guards Lou Williams and Evan Turner tonight. Both players combined for 12 points and 3 of 16 from the field. But where the Sixers got production from off the bench was from Nik Vucevic, who had 14 points and 8 rebounds in 21 minutes of game action. Also Thaddeus Young, who led the Sixers comeback in the third and fourth quarters had 17 points and 9 rebounds. Overlooked was PF Elton Brand’s double-double tonight, consisting of 14 points and 13 rebounds. But where the blame will lay tonight is at the feet of Andre Iguodala. Even though Iguodala had 14 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds, he missed two three point shots in the waning seconds of the game. Iguodala needs to either drive to the basket or work on getting a consistent jumper.

The Sixers (22-16) will travel to take on the Milwaukee Bucks (14-23) on Monday night at 8:00 pm at the Bradley Center.
