Let’s welcome our newest and fifth verbal commitment of the 2011 recruiting cycle for the USC Gamecocks as linebacker Edward Muldrow (Snellville, Ga./North Gwinnett) picked the Gamecocks late Saturday.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound prospect is considered to be one of the top linebacker prospects in the country as he is a 3 star LB and rated in the Top 40 by most recruiting services. He could see some time at USC in their “Spur” position early on.
He picked the Gamecocks over Clemson. He also had around 14 offers from programs like Kentucky, Arkansas, North Carolina, Florida State, West Virginia, Ole Miss ….just to name a few he decided against.
This is the second commitment this week for USC. He joins WR K.J. Brent, ATH Martay Mattox, DE Mason Harris and S Jared Henry on the Gamecocks’ commitment list for 2011.
