When June started, we all looked at the schedule and saw the Phillies and Diamondbacks and Indians and Red Sox and Blue Jays and said, “We’re going to learn a lot about the Pittsburgh Pirates this month. The Pirates went 16-11 on the month and 8-7 against those five teams. Their run differential on the month was just about even. The standings look like this: 
I don’t know how long this is going to last, but I promise you that I’m enjoying every step of the way. I’m traveling today, but I should be back in PA in time to get the gamethread up this afternoon.
