Well, that didn’t take long…

…with Saturday’s 6-3 loss to the Cubs, the Brewers fall below .500 for the first time this season to 2-3 after their third straight loss. The Cubs got to Brewers’ ace Ben Sheets first, drawing first blood in the top of the 2nd, as Cubs’ starter Carlos Zambrano helped his own cause by driving in Mark DeRosa for the second run of the inning, after DeRosa’s triple drove in the first run. Rickie Weeks cut the lead in half in the fourth on a solo shot, but Sheets began to tire in the 6th…Sheets finished 6, but gave up another 3 ER’s. The Crew manufactured a run, and Geoff Jenkins hit a meaningless solo shot for the rest of the scoring. Tomorrow is another day…unfortunately, the Cubs send reclamation project Wade Miller against Chris Capuano. If I heard right on the FSN Wisconsin broadcast, Miller is 11-1, 2.55 lifetime against the Brewers…of course, that was when he was with the Astros a couple years back…but could be another tough time tomorrow.
