Werek Suspended 5 Games

Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park reports that Rangers prospect Ethan Werek (2009 – 2nd) has been suspended five games for a hit from behind against the Oshawa Generals.

…yep that’s a suspendable hit as not only was it from behind but he left his feet. However, nothing wrong with a little mean streak in your game.

Werek has 24g, 28a in 47 games.
