Well, it’s a bye week for the Buckeyes, so let’s take a moment to reflect on what your humble correspondents might be up to when they’re not hosting a live chat or putting on the scarlet and gray face paint. What do we want to see, and what will we see this weekend?
Jeff
- I want to see TCU beat Utah, and Boise State struggle but beat Hawaii. Broncos fans are SO cute when they get leapfrogged by other teams. Also, Alabama simply CRUSH LSU and send them tumbling down.
- I’m going to see Illinois beat Michigan, and Wolverine fans will begin to freak out over a potential bowl-less season again.
Eric
- I want to see – Want to see: Football, of any kind.
- I’m going to see- An awful lot of lab notebooks. Gawd I hate grading time.
Joe
- I want to see – our guys get healthy. We have really been hurt by injuries this year. Mali note- other years, injuries don’t hurt, I guess.
- I want to see- TCU / Boise / Utah play in a real conference. I am sick of hearing about them. The lowly Longhorns or Gators this year would be undefeated playing their schedules. We think those teams are really down. But those teams play that schedule and they should be put in the NC game?
- I want to see– Bama kick LSU around. LSU is soooooo overrated and lucky to even be standing with 1 loss.
- I want to see– Wins from Ohio State’s opponents to boost the computer polls.
- I’m going to see– The great hometown of Lima, Ohio. And, no, I wasn’t in a glee club
Jay
- I want to see – The backs of my eyelids (bye week means shut-eye week)
- I’m going to see- Drywall (house work), books (school work), and a computer screen (real work)
Rob
- I want to see – An ODU Panther victory over Ashland.
- I’m going to see- An ODU Panther victory over Ashland.
Jim
- I want to see – Every team above Ohio State in the polls and every team with one Big Ten loss losing on Saturday (TCU and Utah will each be forced to forfeit by the BCS because no one wants to see more than one mid-major ruining a perfectly good bowl season).
- I’m going to see- Michigan and Penn State losing at home, which would be good but not quite as good as the first thing.
Mali
- I want to see – Baylor at T. Boone Pickens’ University. The Shrinkage 12 South race is getting really interesting, with Oklahoma and Baylor and TBPU all with one loss in conference. The Sooners have Bears and Bedlam coming up on their schedule; this game should help clear things up in the conference race. Plus it will be interesting to see how Baylor’s Robert Griffin 3 (aka a poor man’s Terrell Pryor) does trying to keep up with Manly Mike Gundy’s high powered offensive schemes.
- Going to see: I wish I could say something awesome like Joshua Tree or Vegas, but the truth of the matter is that this is the weekend that I earn some points with some “family time”, especially during the Cornhusker game. Although, now that I think of it, the lights and sounds of a casino can be pretty soothing for children…
