Air it out. I’d like to see Braxton Miller get back to work on the passing game. Test Purdue’s corners with some shots deep.
The obvious… All around improvement on defense.
Special Teams keep being special. Return a kick/punt, block a punt of field goal, special teams keep having an impact. It’s contagious and, maybe more importantly, can get into opponents heads before a game even starts.
No sleepy nooner. The game kicks-off at high noon, no excuse for The Shoe not to be electric and rocking. This team is 7-0, you’re there anyway, don’t sit on your hands and not be loud.
Color coordinate. “Pink Out The Shoe” is the theme this week to support breast cancer awareness. Typically these color coordinate attempts are a terrific failure at Ohio Stadium. This one shouldn’t be. Get a pink t-shirt or sweatshirt and wear it to the game. Then be loud.

Less points scored for the other team. It seems there’s a great debate brewing among Buckeye fans: is the problem the defense, or the special teams? For now, I’ll just say “fix it all” and allow Purdue less points than Indiana. Or, better yet, less points than Michigan State.
Passing Braxton. Wisconsin ran all over Purdue, so I imagine we’ll see a lot more running from the Buckeyes too. However, I’d like to see the team continue to work on Braxton’s passing, if only to keep the Boiler’s secondary honest.
Devin Smith. Catch. The. Football. Dear Devin. If the ball hits you in the hands catch it. Do not be the next coming of Braylon Edwards.
An end to “color outs”. Look, I don’t want to be the curmudgeon in the room, but can we just make a gentleman’s agreement to stop it with the lame color outs? Let Penn State have their white-out, since it’s at least original, and the rest of us can go on with our lives. I get that this is for a good cause, but it’s getting old…fast. Here’s my prediction for what will happen tomorrow – half of the stadium will be wearing pink, the other half will wear red or gray…just like last year.

Kenny G. While I’m perfectly happy to see him as “The Wolf”, coming in to clean up when Braxton gets hurt, I’d love to give him a series or two on his own.
Positive Turnovers. That’s been the issue this year, in my opinion… we drop interceptions, and allow drives to continue. Help get of defense off the field, and maintain momentum.
Passing Fancy. We’ve established that Ohio State can throw the deep ball, and it was great to see Jake get involved in the intermediate game against Indiana. More, please.
Just once. Four times last week? That’s 20 yards cost and momentum stopped… FOCUS, people.

Defense.Do I need to explain this? I’d like to see us put a defense on the field. At times vs the Hoosiers we looked great. We’d hold them for several plays and have them in a 3rd and long situation…. and then they’d score a 70 yard TD. Please no more of that.
Youth at LB stepping up. Linebacking is the only squad on defense that has an excuse to be lacking. The depth was already pretty thin, and with Sabino out they had to resort to a guy who hasn’t taken a defensive snap since high school in Boren. But when Boren comes out and puts up the best defensive performance of the night…. we have a problem here. We need some of these young freshmen and RS freshmen linebackers to step up and take the mantle.
Another Stellar performance by Miller. What is there to say? The man is a beast. I’d like to see him put up some really ridiculous numbers this weekend (and every weekend going forward), and give Geno Smith a run for his money on that Heisman trophy.
Janelle
Defense. Not even going to elaborate on this because we all know there needs to be improvement here all around.
More XBrax360. I’d like to see Braxton have a video-game numbers performance to add to his Heisman resume.
Less Penalties. I’d like to say eliminate them period, but we all know that’s not happening. However, we had 10 penalties last week and they cost us 91 yards. Let’s at least cut down on the dumb ones that come from lack of focus.
Excitement in the ‘Shoe. Yes, they’re frustrating to watch at times, but this team is still undefeated, & something special is definitely happening with Ohio State football. That’s something to be excited about. Let’s have it rocking in the ‘Shoe this week.
Joe L.
No big plays from Purdue. We have given up 7 plays of 50+ yds this year. I’m ready to see those come to a halt.
Noah Spence breakout game. It seemed he was close all night to a couple sacks against Indiana.
More improvement from Carlos Hyde. He is starting to see the holes better and is breaking tackles more frequently than before.
Defend the spread. On paper we have better athletes. Not sure why we can’t defend the spread…at least a little bit.
