WHATEVER IT TAKES Opened

WHATEVER IT TAKES, the art exhibit proudly showcasing Steeler fandom, quietly opened to the public on Friday before its grand opening in September. And my buddy Dan at Blog ‘N’ Gold grabbed some quality pictures in his review of the setup at Carnegie Mellon’s Miller Gallery.

Above, you’ll notice a mini replica of Heinz Field surrounding an electric football game. WHATEVER IT TAKES also features an unlicensed merch display that PSAMP happily helped with, and you can see that in the background. The classic He’s One Bad Ma’afala shirt is shown on the video reel of generic shirts, which is surrounded by images of a number of the shirts seen on PSAMP and those submitted to the gallery by other fans.

Thanks to Dan for getting great pics, and the curators John and Astria for helping bring Great Moments In Unlicensed Pittsburgh Sports Merch to their fantastic display of Steelers fandom as art. I’m honored to be a part in the smallest of ways.

WHATEVER IT TAKES should be on your to-do list.
