What's a Safety position on the Bucs without a Lynch there?!
Fan Favorites? Can Cory capture the magic John created?
The only thing missing is a 3″ horizontal red slash that meets up with the top of the ONE, to give an impression of a 7, and thats all Bucs fans would need to bring back those good ole day memories of a secondary patroled by another Lynch, John that is. Currently patroling Booths with a Fox uniform, John Lynch is a bit too over the hill to provide that type of coverage anymore, but not so for Cory Lynch, who will wear number 41 when he is back there! The Bucs havn’t actually said that Lynch is the solid replacement for IR departed Cody Grimm, Vince Anderson and Ronde Barber could be found lurking back there too if all indications are correct. Vince Anderson is the first ever pro football player from Webber International, and Larry Asante is another guy who will get the looks from Bucs coaches and Falcons QB Matt Ryan. Barber could easilly make the transition to safety with the tools he has, and actually could extend his playing career a few more years that way. No matter who gets the nod, Bucs Head Coach Raheem Morris and GM Mark Dominik have made it a habit of taking first year, young players, and getting veteran play out of them. This team also responds well after a loss, never having dropped two in a row yet this season. With the added pressure being created by Rookie Gerald McCoy who is coming on strong over the past few weeks, kind of like a Defensive Tackle who played here back in the days of the older Lynch. Maybe there IS something to this name thing after all!
