Whats next for Bucs?

After watching the Detroit game, you felt like the Minnesota game would feature a Bucs team that takes over where it left off. It did; it took over after it left off vs Detroit in the 1st quarter. Truthfully the Bucs first half against the Vikings was worse than last week. At least against the Lions the Bucs managed to get a FG drive in the final two minutes. Against Detroit the Bucs intercepted a pass and ran it in (Aqib Talib), vs Minnesota the offense and defense were completely inept. A scan of twitter and facebook showed the frustration of Bucs fans, who were ready to jump ship so to speak; at least for a few minutes- We cant go without our Bucs fix for too long!

The turn around was massive; Tampa Bay had only 62 yards in the first half, to Minnesota’s 284. In the second half, it was the exact opposite; 79 yards for the Vikings, but 273 for the Bucs. While Minnesota scored 7 points in the first qtr and 10 points in the 2nd, the Bucs scored 10 in the 3rd, and 14 in the 4th qtr; including two touchdowns in the last 7 minutes. That can only be done with a combination of Offense, Defense and Special teams all working in sync.

Josh Freeman was 7 of 11 for 52 yards in the first half.

But 15 of 20 for 191 yards in the second, including 1 TD now in 15 straight games, a Bucs franchise record that passed Brian Griese’s 13.

So where do the Bucs go to from here? These are called patterns for a reason, and they tend to last all season. One thing is for sure, the Bucs are not going to be able to comeback from 17 down to the Atlanta Falcons. The Bucs are going to have to play like the second half at some point in the first. The question remains..when.
