When things go wrong, they really go wrong

One thing I don’t think anyone would argue about when it comes to the Pirates is that they certainly know how to fail spectacularly. Not only can they not score, but one of their most reliable bullpen guys completely melted down last night and sent them to yet another road loss and another loss to Houston.

So now what? John Russell is switching the lineup around, Paul Maholm is pitching, and the Pirates will try to crack Bud Norris for a few runs. There’s not much else to do, really. First pitch tonight is 7:05 and Clemente/Cangelosi is after the jump.

Not sure what this is? Check here and here. Short version: in the comments pick the Pirates you think will be most and least valuable in today’s game. If you haven’t jumped aboard yet, it’s been a lot of fun so far and now’s as good a time as any to join in.

Last night’s graph is awful depressing.
