Catcher Rob Brantly got called up to the big leagues by the Chicago White Sox when rosters expanded on September 1 and has been busy ever since. He even hit a three-run home run in his fifth at bat for his new team.
So, when given his first chance to explore his new city…he did what just about any tourist would do. Thursday, Brantly awarded himself a day off, Ferris Bueller-style, and hit up the
Sears Willis Tower.
Having our own Ferris Bueller’s day off! Really loving Chicago!!! @whitesox #whitesoxnation #whitesox #baseball pic.twitter.com/jCPrBnaVaO

My guess is that, unlike Bueller, Brantly will not be heading to the northside to see the Chicago Cubs take the field and for good reason…the Cubs are out in Philadelphia taking on the Phillies and, well, the White Sox have a game of their own.
