This Pirates/Reds series is one of the weirdest series I can remember in terms of scheduling. After playing afternoon games on Saturday and Sunday, the Bucs play a wrap-around, get-away, night game tonight at Great American Ballpark as they aim for their third consecutive series win on the road to open 2011.
Travis Wood and Kevin Correia are the two pitchers who will try to give their respective bullpens a rest today after yesterday’s crazy, bullpen-heavy fiasco. A win for the Bucs gets them to 8-8 with a surprising 7-3 record away from PNC Park. The first pitch tonight is at 7:05.
