A quick check of the standings has the Cardinals 8 games back of the Reds in the NL Central. They’re trailing the Braves, Pirates and are tied with the Dodgers for the Wild Card berths in the NL.
Most level-headed baseball observers would say the Cardinals have a shot at the playoffs, but are in no way a sure thing. But just into the CD Mailbox is a note from the team…
