Who’s Gonna Win the 2015 World Series?

geno

The 2014 season just ended a few weeks ago with the San Francisco Giants beating the Kansas City Royals in seven games and in the process, Madison Bumgarner completed one of the greatest postseason performances in recent years by pitching his team to their third World Series title in five years.

It’s only been a few weeks, but it’s already time to analyze the scenario heading to 2015…including the MLB odds to win the next World Series. Who are the favorites to win it all next season? Well, it’s definitely not the Giants. In fact, early odds for 2015 favor their National League West rivals…the Los Angeles Dodgers. Not far behind the Dodgers are the Washington Nationals (15-2), Detroit Tigers (10-1) and Los Angeles Angels (10-1).

But where do other teams such as perennial favorite New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox stand? Well, it seems as though the oddsmakers aren’t very optimistic about their chances. Both the Yanks and Sox are longshots at 22-1, but despite the poor odds, these two foes always are center of attention for many baseball bettors.

And in case you were wondering, the this year’s World Series combatants, the San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals are listed at 12-1 and 16-1 respectively.
