Who’s the Celtics rookie with the balls to trash talk KG?

Nets rookie Mason Plumlee held a Google Hangout with fans recently and one of the questions was about Kevin Garnett’s trash talking habits.

He did decline to describe KG’s trash talk, but instead recounted a story Paul Pierce told him about how an unnamed Celtics rookie trash-talked Garnett himself!  KG didn’t respond to the rookie but turned to Pierce and asked him to tell the rookie to stop it … until he has 1,000 points or $500,000 in the bank.

Love this. Garnett completely dismisses the rookie while insulting him at the same time.

Now the question is… who was the rookie?

Had to be Glen Davis, right?

The Celtics haven’t drafted many brash rookies over the years; Sullinger, Fab Melo, Kris Joseph, Avery Bradley, JaJuan Johnson, Luke Harongody, Semih Erden, E’Twaun Moore, Lester Hudson, JR Giddens, and Gabe Pruitt are the guys to pass through during KG’s time in Boston.
