Why is RG3 still starting for the Redskins?

Question:  What do Redskins’ fans do to cheer up about football at this point?

Answer:  They watch the movie “Brian’s Song.”

Seriously, watching RG3 is a tragedy.  How can anyone with a heart not feel for the guy, for the team, for the coaches and most of all for the fans?

So given how poorly he is playing, why is Gruden still starting RG3?

• Is it to improve RG3 going into the off-season next year?
• Is it to try him out and evaluate him?
• Is it to show to RG3 so he himself can see just how far he needs to go now that NFL defenses have overcome the gimmick of a pistol offense?  In other words, to give RG3 some medicine to put him in his proper place?

These may all be possibly and partially true.

But the real reason behind Gruden starting RG3 and letting him and all of us suffer is for one person and one person alone.  Daniel Snyder.  I believe he’s the real intended recipient of the bitter tasting medicine that Gruden is dishing out by starting RG3 right now.
