Point guard Willie Moore committed to Oregon Friday morning over the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Moore averaged 16.8 points, 9.1 rebounds and four assists his senior season at Aiken High School. This young man made a verbal commitment to Duquesne in October and signed with the Dukes in November. However, Duquesne dismissed head coach Ron Everhart March 23 and Moore was given his release from his National Letter of Intent and looked at other options.
Two factors worked in Oregon’s favor. A Ducks’ assistant coach previously coach at Cincinnati and knew Moore well, and Moore has a close friend on the Oregon football team.
