Win Steve McNair’s Mercedes

That headline got your attention, huh?
OK, I lied, you can’t win Steve McNair’s Mercedes. But you can win a brand new Mercedes convertible this Sunday evening at a celebrity basketball game with McNair and Vince Young, who will serve as captains in an “Old School vs. New School” All-Star basketball game.
McNair will captain the Old School team which will feature former Titans Eddie George, Blaine Bishop, Brad Hopkins, DeRon Jenkins, and Chris Sanders and former Vanderbilt and NFL star Corey Harris.
Young’s New School team will include David Thornton, among others. I don’t have a complete list of players who will participate.
Jevon Kearse and Adalius Thomas are scheduled to appear, and although I’m not sure, I’d think they’d be New Schoolers.
Besides the chance to win a Mercedes, there will be a silent auction with autographed player gear, game-worn jerseys and a surprise halftime performance.
The event will take place at 6:00 pm Sunday at the Tennessee State University Gentry Center with proceeds benefiting the Diane Greer Walker Memorial Scholarship Fund. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children, and are available at Phat Kaps, Lifeway, Haddox Pharmacy and the TSU bookstore.
It’s a great chance to meet some players, perhaps get some autographs, and enjoy the game, all while helping out a good cause.
You may even drive home in a new Mercedes convertible.
