2:17 UPDATES- The Pirates lost Luis Cruz on waivers to the Brewers. Arguing over losing him vs. Bixler feels like a waste of time, even if I do agree with the sentiment that it probably should’ve been Bixler that we dropped. Anyways, it opens a Rule 5 spot and that’s what’s most important.
Also, Vinnie Chulk will get a minor league invite to Spring Training. He was pretty good as recently as 2007, so this might be a good risk. The Bucs are also interested in Willie Eyre, who’s on waivers, and free agent Adam Everett.
7:23 – Free agent Adam Everett will remain Detroit Tiger Adam Everett in 2010. Ken Rosenthal suggests that means that Neal Huntington will step up his pursuit of Bobby Crosby. Be still my beating heart.
8:41- Fellow FanHouser Ed Price is at the meetings and confirms the Crosby rumor. Am I going to have to write a post about why this isn’t a great idea?
