Winter Meetings Day One – Evening Update

Here’s the latest Red Sox Winter Meetings news:

With the sky high cost of Carl Crawford, the Red Sox are looking at a possible trade for Josh Willingham.  The Nats might need to unload some payroll after backing up the Brinks truck to Jayson Werth’s house.  Expect them to want some prospects in return, not a big money guy.

The Red Sox are still in on Russell Martin, but so are the Yanks…what else is new?

Cliff Lee’s agent talked with the Red Sox.  Don’t get your hopes up, this is not going to happen, just keeping the price high for New York.
