Theo has many irons in the fire as the Red Sox continue to look for a right-handed outfielder, bullpen help and a possible catcher.
Pedro Feliciano is the latest possible target for bullpen help. (Fox Sports John Morosi via twitter) Feliciano is a class B free agent who has played his entire career with the New York Mets. The Yankees are also in on Feliciano.
Matt Diaz’s agent says he may sign a deal as early as today. The Red Sox might be the ones signing him as he would fit the right-handed outfielder mold.
The Dodgers have had no contact with Russell Martin’s agent since they non-tendered him. They are also in on Matt Diaz.
Peter Gammons reported that the Red Sox are talking with the Mets about Carlos Beltran.
UPDATE: Josh Willingham may cost too much for the Red Sox liking. The Nats are said to be wanting Felix Doubront and the Sox will not make that deal.
