The Wisconsin Badgers won the Big Ten’s West Division in the first season of the conference having two divisions. Although the Badgers went 7-1 in conference play and 11-3 overall, the Badgers’ regular season ended with a bad taste as they were blown out by the eventual champion Ohio State Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship game, losing 59-0.
Then surprisingly, second-year head coach Gary Andersen stepped down to become the new head coach at Oregon State. Wisconsin played in the Outback Bowl against Auburn under Wisconsin lifer Barry Alvarez, who secured a 34-31 overtime victory to lift the spirits of the program for the time being.
Paul Chryst, formerly the coach of the Pittsburgh Panthers, starts his new campaign with offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph, who also is in his first year with the team. There won’t be as much time to adjust for the new coaches, though, as the Badgers are in this year’s Cowboys Classic against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the very first game of the regular season.

Wisconsin tickets do not have an average price over $300 aside from the Alabama game. But their next most expensive matchup against Nebraska carries the same weight, as last year’s game was a record-setting day for now-NFL running back Melvin Gordon. Gordon set the FBS rushing record by rumbling for 408 yards and four touchdowns in a 59-24 victory. Nebraska will be itching to get revenge in a game where they were embarrassed last season.

Wisconsin finally appears on this list as the home team with their most expensive game at Camp Randall Stadium being against the Northwestern Wildcats. In one of the more surprising results of the 2014 Big Ten conference season, Northwestern defeated Wisconsin, 20-14, in Evanston, Illinois even with Gordon rushing for 259 yards on 27 carries. The Wildcats finished in second-to-last in the West Division, with a 5-7 overall record and 3-5 conference record.
