Richards, Great Britain defeats NorwayAfter defeating Luxembourg yesterday in the European Under-20 Championships in Sarajevo, San Antonio Spurs’ draftee Ryan Richards and Great Britain won again on Sunday as they defeated Norway 78 to 64. Richards had some early trouble, but his teammate Ali Fraser was there to pick up the scoring load reports HoopsFix.com:

Ryan Richards battled with foul trouble to finish with 20 points in just 16 minutes, Alex Marcotullio had 14 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals, whilst Devon Van Oostrum had 5 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.

Richards’ coach commented on Richards’ foul trouble and the rest that Richards was able to store while on the bench.

“Ryan (Richards) got in some early foul trouble, and then we took the chance to rest him as we have a big game against the Czechs tomorrow.”

Richards went on to finish with 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 fouls. Great Britain will play the Czech Republic tonight.
