One quarterback in college football who put on a impressive performance today would be Wake Forest senior QB John Wolford, who led the Demon Deacons to a 34-10 rout of Boston College this Saturday afternoon as the road team.

The first in conference matchup for either team this season, freshman QB for BC Anthony Brown got the nod once more, delivering a 119 yard day to go with 11 completions out of 26 attempts and recording a touchdown throw to running back Jon Hilliman. Unfortunately for Brown, he did throw three interceptions to the Wake Forest defense, one was a pick six. Freshman running back AJ Dillion led all rushers with 15 carries while the multi versatile junior Jeff Smith led all receivers with 56 yards on 5 catches.

On the defensive side of the ball, defensive end for the Eagles Harold Landry, a national headliner for the 2018 NFL Draft this coming year, recorded his first sack of the season to go with 5 tackles. Junior defensive back Will Harris and junior defensive tackle Ray Smith led the Eagles D with 9 tackles a piece, but could not stop the Wake Forest offense from the end zone.

For the Demon Deacons, John Wolford made a senior splash for his last ACC opener, throwing 13 completions out of 19 attempts for 151 yards and a score. On the ground, he recorded 20 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown. Not bad for a guy who is underrated in the FBS and going against one of the toughest defenses in all of college football.

The big hole today was the four turnovers caused by the Eagles, in which Wake turned into points, 21 to be exact. Turnovers like that will certainly work against you and in this case, mount a 24 point loss.
