Wolves 90, Sonics 109

The Timberwolves lost to Seattle despite the absence
of Sonics rookie forward Kevin Durant, who sat out the final three
quarters because of a sprained left index finger.

The Wolves never mounted much of a challenge in the second half and suffered a 109-90 setback at KeyArena.

Wolves record: 4-25

Even Durant’s absence couldn’t keep the Wolves from another night of
exasperation and resignation expressed by their outraised arms, glazed
stares and even a technical foul given to mild-mannered assistant coach
Jerry Sichting.

"We had no purpose, no life," Wittman said about the final three
quarters. "Maybe we have to shake things up. We cannot just accept a
defeat like that."
