Wolves Updates 09/03

From Corey Brewer’s website:
Minnesota Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer has spent most of the
summer preparing for the 2008-09 season. Brewer recently spent a week
in  Las Vegas with longtime college and NBA coach Tim Grgurich to
refine his skills…

One of the things Grgurich is known for his ability to help develop a player’s shot and offensive skill set.

Coming
off screens correctly, taking a long first step with the ball, and
other techinques were shared during the individual workout.

“I
need to be able to hit the open jump shot this year,” Brewer said. “Al
Jefferson and Mike Miller being on the floor should open up the
offense.”
Also from Brewer’s site:
The 82 game National Basketball Association schedule can be tough on a
first year player. Minnesota Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer
uses the game of golf to help unwind in the off-season.
From The Vegas Eye:
LAX Nightclub lit up The Strip last night as Las Vegas’ Labor Day Weekend festivities flourished.  Reality show star Khloe Kardashian was joined by boxer Zab Judah and Shaun Phillips of the San Diego Chargers at a luxurious red leather VIP booth while the main stage was filled with famous athletes.  Larry Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs, Rashad McCants of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Antoine Wright of the Dallas Mavericks, Damon Jones of the Milwaukee Bucks, Juwon Howard of the Houston Rockets and former NBA player Howard Eisley were among revelers at the high energy hot spot.
