including coach Randy Wittman, traveled to Chicago last week to work
out free agent Shaun Livingston, the former Los Angeles Clippers guard,
who is attempting a comeback after missing all last season because of a
major knee injury.

Livingston tore three of his four knee ligaments in February 2007. A
6-7 point guard drafted directly from high school, Livingston never has
played more than 61 games in his three NBA seasons because of injuries.

and small forward, but might not be healthy enough to play until

The tipoff to the 20th season took place during a ceremonial "first
tip" today at Target Center. Randy Breuer, Timberwolves center from the
inaugural 1989-90 season, took part in the jump ball with Wolves rookie
forward Kevin Love. More than 100 of the Timberwolves’ 500 20-year
season ticket holders were in attendance to witness the event.

some help for Jefferson underneath. Whether his stats take a slight dip
is not the issue, but rather whether he takes advantage of these new
digs and consolidates his strengths, or struggles to find a new groove.
