Jerry Zgoda/Star Tribune and Kelsie Smith/Pioneer Press preview tonight’s game against Cleveland.
Jerry Zgoda/Star Tribune on LeBron James:
So much so that Wolves coach Randy Wittman expects to try a little of
everything to combat a player who scored 34 points a game in two
meetings with the Wolves last season and who had averaged 29.2 points,
7.8 rebounds and 8.0 assists entering Tuesday’s game against the Bucks.

Larry Dobrow/CBSSports lists the Wolves at #5 on his top 10 list of the most embarrassing sports franchises.
Forget that they were caught attempting to circumvent the salary cap a
few years back in order to secure the services of Joe Smith — yes, Joe
Smith — and forget that they just dealt Kevin Garnett for 40 cents on
the dollar. The team’s real crime was failing to give much in the way
of support to Garnett, the rare super-duper-mega-star who busts his ass
every night, over the last decade. This is a class-action negligence
lawsuit waiting to happen.

During training camp and the early part of the regular season, Wittman
has spend a lot of time in practice on his offense. Tuesday he said he
will start putting more emphasis on the defensive side.

Brewer said defending small forwards has been a
challenge. In addition to Stojakovic, Brewer went man to man against
Caron Butler for most of the fourth quarter of Minnesota’s loss to
Washington on Friday. Butler scored 29 points, 11 in the fourth.

"There is pressure, but it’s good pressure. I’ve just got to keep trying to give the team a spark, lock down a good (player) and help the team win," Brewer said. "I
feel like I’m improving. I feel like I’m learning. I feel like midway
through the season I should know what guys like to do, and I should be
able to play a lot better defense. Right now it’s early; it’s learning."

Certainly not players of the same caliber as Foye, Marko Jaric and Sebastian Telfair have done admirable jobs filling in. Both have had their moments in the starting lineup, as well as moments of decent play off the bench, yet the Timberwolves cannot seem to make a decision as to whom should receive the most minutes in Foye’s absence.
From Mike Max/WCCO:
The Timberwolves Sebastian Telfair did leave after practice on
Tuesday to attend his grandmother’s funeral and will miss Wednesday’s
game against Cleveland.
