Wolves Updates 11/7

Foye now says he feels pain-free.
“Next week I’m going to start doing some running,” he said. “We’ll do a little jogging and see how it takes the pounding.”
So far, Foye has just let the knee rest. He has done some upper-body
work and conditioning on the bike. The plan is to gradually increase
the amount of work on the knee. In two weeks, he will have the knee
retested to see if the stress reaction has gone away.
Steve Perry/The Daily Mole talks to Britt Robson about the new roster.
The Timberwolves discussed a contract extension with
point guard Sebastian Telfair before the NBA’s Oct. 31 deadline, but
the parties agreed to wait until next summer to talk about Telfair’s
future with the team, his agent said.
Telfair will become a restricted free agent after the season.
Jim Souhan/Star Tribune on last night’s game:
The crowd was sparse enough that everyone on and near the court could
hear Wolves executive Kevin McHale coaching from the stands. “Yeah, I
keep McHale’s voice in my head all the time,” Jefferson said.
Those gathered around him laughed, but he was serious. “True story,”
Jefferson said. “I really keep his voice in my head all the time. I
know what he’s going to say and what he wants me to do, and I just keep
his voice in my head at all times.”

If Antoine Walker is fat, we don’t know what that makes us. Dude was
topless during the post-game press availability, and we just have to
say, he is not fat. Svelte? By professional athlete standards (John
Kruk notwithstanding) it’s probably the wrong adjective. But fat? Only
if you’re looking at his reflection in a funhouse mirror…
If NBA games lasted eight or nine minutes, the
Wolves would be champions. These guys come out of the locker room
looking like the 1986-87 Los Angeles Lakers.
The Timberwolves are young and rebuilding, but coach
Randy Wittman isn’t asking for any special treatment from fans. Just
fairness.
