Jonah Ballow/Timberwolves site posts a scouting report on tonight’s game at New Jersey.
Miller tested his sprained right ankle in the morning shootaround to tonight’s game at the New Jersey Nets and got in an extra 30 minutes of shooting afterward.
As much as he would like to play, Miller said he would go along with whatever the trainers and coach Randy Wittman decide.
Wittman said it would depend on how Miller looks during a pregame workout and that the Wolves won’t push it.
Wittman said he will start Kevin Ollie again tonight in an attempt to contain Nets guard Devin Harris and Al Jefferson will again start at center. But Wittman said the rest of the frontcourt depends on whether Miller plays.
From watching Miller limp Friday morning and fight to get lift on his three-point shots, I’m guessing they wait and let him heal, possibly until Tuesday’s game against Utah at Target Center.
From Jack Wickham/The MacWeekly:
For this season, it looks again like Jefferson will be the cornerstone of the team’s offense. Though the team’s record is still a weak 4-12, the team has again shown promise with close matches against Portland and Denver. Perhaps Jefferson and the new team will be the next step in bringing the Timberwolves the respect in the NBA that it once had.
