Ryan Gomes said his high left ankle sprain is getting better, but he and Rambis remain uncertain of his return to the lineup.
Gomes missed his third consecutive game Friday night against Sacramento and is questionable for Sunday’s game at Boston. Gomes said he will make the trip to Boston, where he played his first two seasons.

“I did a little more running today, but the ankle is still swollen,” Gomes said.
Gomes has not practiced since suffering the injury last Saturday at Sacramento. He said he hopes to participate in today’s practice before the team heads to Boston.

“It has been … like five months now,” he said. “If I came back now … It’s a fad. I just kind of thought it was cool at one point, people were laughing and joking with me about what I was doing. I was getting in touch with different people on there.
“But then it became … if you’re going to put on there, ‘I’m going to get a cheeseburger,’ that’s so irrelevant. Who wants to know that?”
