That said, the organization can say with confidence that it is presenting its customers with a halftime show worthy of Fan Appreciation Night in conjunction with tonight’s 7 p.m. game against Phoenix.
If you head to the game, and you are normally the type of person who treats the intermission as an afterthought, you need to suspend that idea for a night. Because this evening, Red Panda takes the court.
Those who know about Red Panda and have seen her before at various arenas, including Target Center, are devoted to her skills with almost a cult-like following.
That could earn the athletic small forward a nice payday this summer when he becomes an unrestricted free agent, but Carney said he would like to return to Minnesota, especially if Kevin McHale comes back as coach.

“I’ll just see what happens, but I like it here,” he said Friday. “If Mac stays.”
Carney credits McHale with giving him an opportunity and the third-year pro has made the most of it, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be back next season.

McHale, who has been noncommittal about his own future, was similarly vague recently when asked about bringing back Carney…
Starting guard Randy Foye practiced Friday but will miss his seventh consecutive game tonight because of a bone bruise in his hip.
More than half the Wolves’ victories this season have come away from Target Center. Not only that, but Minnesota generally comes out with more fire on the road.
While some players believe this is because a team can be more relaxed on the road (in-room dining, afternoon movies and naps chief among the perks of being away from home), how does one explain Cleveland’s 38-1 record this season at Quicken Loans Arena?
“I don’t know exactly all the reasons why, but we don’t have that right now,” McHale said. “We don’t have a lot of good home mojo. We’re going to have to find some.”

Kevin Love became an instant legend at UCLA thanks to his outlet passing — a talent that depended on his upper-body strength.

But with a different angle of release, Love discovered that he could also hit the basket from just about anywhere on the court. His practice shots were a big hit with fans while gearing up for the NCAA tournament in Anaheim in 2008.
This weekend, Sports Science will test him out from the NBA-record range of 89 feet…
