“The process is now in their (Minnesota’s) hands. At this juncture, any comments that should come out further should come from them. We’re in a little bit of a holding pattern,” LeGarie said.
“The nice thing in this case is he (Penn) is ready for the opportunity and has certainly preped up for some very good people like Kevin Pritchard. They’ve had a good run together – and they do fit well together he and Kevin – but at the same time, Kevin was in a similiar situation a few years ago.
“It is bitter sweet, but you like to see collegues get the opportunity.”
Kahn has declined to discuss his talks with the team, but at last report he had yet to receive a contract offer.
The other confirmed candidates are former Miami Heat general manager Randy Pfund, Wolves general manager Jim Stack and Wolves assistant GM Fred Hoiberg.
