WPIAL First Round Playoff Results

Of the 32 first round playoff games, 31 of them are in the books. The final first round game will be played on Saturday night between Bishop Canevin and California as Dormont Stadium was in use for the Keystone Oaks-Apollo Ridge game on Friday night. Classes 6A, 5A, 4A, and 3A will now move to the semifinals with the Championships taking place in two weeks at Heinz Field. For 2A and 1A, the title games at Robert Morris are three weeks away as they move into the quarterfinals. The big stories of the night were Derry getting their first playoff win since 1983 and Freedom got their first playoff win since 2003.
