Wisconsin’s dual meet against Iowa on January 15 will take place at the Kohl Center, the team announced Tuesday.
General admission tickets will be available for purchase through UW beginning Friday and will cost $2. The match will also be aired live on Big Ten Network.
Iowa is currently ranked third in the nation by FloWrestling, while the Badgers check in at No. 14.
Jordan, Horwath take top honors at Navy Classic
Isaac Jordan (165 pounds) and Brock Horwath (285) took first at their weights at Saturday’s Navy Classic.
Jordan cruised through the bracket with a pair of pins followed by three consecutive decisions, including a 4-0 triumph over Christian LaBrie of Brown University in the championship match.
The event marked the first competition of the season for No.2 Jordan who missed the first three events of the season with an injury.
Horwath picked up a trio of five-point victories and a pin en route to the heavyweight crown.
The redshirt senior capped his day with a 7-2 win over Zachery Roseberry (Delaware Valley) in the first place match.
Johnny Jimenez (125) also made the finals, but fell to Bucknell’s Paul Petrov 10-0. No.13 Petrov also topped Jimenez in the championship match at the Michigan State Open back on Nov. 15.
Ryan Christensen (184) placed fourth for Wisconsin, while Luke Rowh (141), Jared Scharenbrock (157), and Seth Liegel (165) each took fifth.
Rylan Lubeck (149) and Jake Stilling (184) each finished sixth.
Overall, Wisconsin wrestlers went 41-23 on the day, but were 0-6 against ranked opponents.
Three Badgers ranked in latest Flo rankings
Ryan Taylor (133) at No.3 and Jordan (165) did likewise at No.2 in FloWrestling’s latest rankings that were released Tuesday.
Ricky Robertson, who did not wrestle last weekend, fell from No.12 to No.14 at 174 pounds.
Meanwhile. the Badgers slipped from No.13 to No.14 in the team rankings.
Wisconsin is back in action Dec.4 as it takes part in the two-day Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas.
