Welp…this isn’t good.
Saturday, during their annual Cubs Convention, the Chicago Cubs announced what many had suspected…the famed Wrigley Field bleachers will not be re-built and ready for Opening Night.
According to the team, the left field bleachers will be ready to open by May 11 with the right field bleachers opening later the same month. So where will the estimated 4500 ticketholders sit until their bleachers are ready for them?
Funny you should ask.
Ticket guy Colin Faulkner says bleacher season ticket holders will get an email right now w 3 options thru May 11

Options: Full refund, credit on account, or relocation for all games prior to May 11.

Reconstruction of the iconic bleachers is the part of the first phase of the historic ball park’s $375 1060 Project, but given how unpredictable Chicago winters can be…construction being delayed shouldn’t have surprised anyone, right? Right?!?
My #Cubs bleachers wont be ready opening day. CRAP! They talkin bout May and late May.

It’s okay, Cubs fans. The team has put together an adorable logo help you quell your frustrations with not being able to sit in your favorite seats for the first 4-8 weeks of what Anthony Rizzo promises will be a Championship season.
