WSU Gameday Flag-Spotting, Week Six

WSU Gameday Flag-Spotting, Week Six

Big thanks to the WSU Gameday Flagwavers, as the tradition continues for yet another week.  It sounds as though it was tough, however, as they aren’t allowing flag poles down on the set in Columbia, South Carolina.  You kind of have to scan around the screen a bit, but you’ll see it pop up over Corso’s shoulder.  But huge props to those on the ground, keeping this thing alive!  We’re up to what, about 95 or 96 consecutive week’s in a row on the flag on Gameday?  Whatever the number, it’s still a great sight for these sore eyes every Saturday morning.

And thanks as always to Will Walker for the screen shots.  You can find more of his work here, at his Picasa web album.

So, any new thoughts on the game today?  I know we all have already written and commented on what we think will happen, but ah, yes, that’s why they play the games.  For we really don’t know.  We can look at it and get an awfully strong feel, but they still have to go out and play.  Funny things happen in this game, and that’s part of why we watch, know what I’m saying?

No, I’m not calling for an upset.  But I am calling for it to be interesting for a while, and I do believe the offense will play well.  But it all boils down to the defense, and I just can’t see them slowing down the green machine that is Oregon. It’ll probably turn into hide-your-eyes time by the second half.

As for seeing it today?  I checked channelsurfing.net, but it doesn’t look like they will have the game.  There is something else out there called Justin.TV, but that may not turn up anything.  I think your best bet is going to be checking out the delay later this evening on one of your Comcast channels.

As for your daily links, check out Grippi’s post

We’ll be back after the game at some point, plus we’ll have video from the game tomorrow.  Enjoy your day, and GO COUGS!
