Ruben Amaro should just go away. His remarks about Cesar Hernandez being The Phillies “…best second baseman” were over-the-top disrespectful to Chase Utley. Ruben has put his foot in his mouth so many times; he needs to brush his teeth with Tinactin.
Amaro has made impertinent remarks about other players, treated Ryne Sandberg as if he was unworthy being a part of any team decisions and he famously claimed that Phillies fans were ignorant.
We all know Ruben will be fired after the season. That would be the classy way for the team president to rid the team of this meddlesome GM but, it’s beginning to look like Ruben Amaro wants to go now.
