One of the most riveting and violent Pay-Per-Views in the WWE is upon us: Hell in a Cell. On Sunday, we will get to see some of the most anticipated matches that include:
- The Big Show vs. Rusev
- Brie Bella vs. Nikki Bella (Loser becomes the winner’s personal assistant)
- A.J. Lee vs. Paige (WWE Divas Championship)
- Sheamus vs. The Miz (WWE United States Championship)
- Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro (2-out-of-3 falls for the WWE Intercontinental Championship)
- Gold and Stardust vs. The Usos (WWE Tag-Team Championship)
- John Cena vs. Randy Orton (Hell in a Cell)
- Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins. (Hell in a Cell)
The match between The Big Show and Rusev has been the result of a rivalry in the making. It all started when Mark Henry defended America during Night of Champions against Rusev, and lost. Ever since then, the Big Show has been defending America, and his friend Mark Henry. Even the Rock made an appearance in Brooklyn during Monday Night Raw to put Rusev in his place. On Sunday we will see if the World’s Largest Athlete can defeat the undefeated Rusev.
Nikki and Brie Bella are twin sisters that have been tag team partners for as long as I can remember. However, at Summerslam this past Aug., Brie Bella had a match with Stephanie McMahon and to everyone’s surprise, her sister Nikki helped Stephanie win.
Nikki’s reason behind betraying her sister was that Brie betrayed her first. Brie’s quitting the company a few months ago resulted in Nikki being treated terribly by The Authority. She had to compete in handicap matches and matches with one of her arms tied behind her back. She blames Brie for all of this and is now planning on taking it out on her in Hell in a Cell on Sunday. The winner of this match will end up being the other’s personal assistant for a month and will prove who the better fighter of the two twins really is.
The tag team championship is also once again on the line on Sunday. Gold and Stardust are currently the champions but the Usos say they won’t be for long. Twins, Jimmy and Jey Uso plan on taking back their tag team championship when they destroy the quirky and cosmic Gold and Stardust.
The four superstars have been competing in tag team matches on Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown for the past few weeks and The Usos even had the chance to regain their tag team titles five days after Night of Champions when they lost them. However, this match resulted in a disqualification when Goldust smashed Jimmy in the head with the belt. Because it was a disqualification, Gold and Stardust retained the titles. Now, The Usos once again have the chance to rip the belts away and take away the cosmic key from the intergalactic duo.
Over the past few weeks, Cena and Ambrose have been fighting over the chance to get their hands on Rollins. Rollins is the reason for Ambrose’s short leave of absence due to a curb stomp to the head on top of a cement cinder block. Rollins is also the reason for John Cena losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Brock Lesner in Night of Champions.
The grudges that these two men hold against Rollins have taken over and resulted in the two of them fighting each other for the chance to meet Rollins in Hell in a Cell.
On Monday Night Raw, Ambrose and Cena went head-to-head to determine who would fight Mr. Money in the Bank at the Pay-PerpView. Whoever could get to the contract on the pole hanging on the clipboard first, would win the match at Hell in a Cell.
Randy Orton, a member of the Authority, asked Triple H and Stephanie McMahon for a match. But not just against anyone; he wanted a match against the loser of the match between Ambrose and Cena. His wish was easily granted.
Ambrose came out victorious in the match against Cena and will face Rollins on Sunday. This is a match everyone has been waiting for. It is expected to be violent and exhilarating as Rollins and Ambrose will no longer have any place to run. They will be stuck inside a cell, face to face, finally being given the chance to fight each other and battle through their hatred for one another. Who will be victorious? Tune in Sunday night to see.
