As noted, WWE will be presenting a Halftime Heat match during halftime of the Super Bowl on Sunday. The bout will be a six-man tag team match featuring Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa and Adam Cole vs Velveteen Dream, Aleister Black and Ricochet.
According to PWInsider, the current plan is for WWE to air the NXT bout from the Performance Center live, so as to avoid spoilers. The initial assumption was that the bout would be taped at the NXT TV tapings at Full Sail on Wednesday, but with WWE wanting a live Network match to air on Sunday, the bout will be filmed at the PC using local fans and wrestlers as audience members.
Top ‘Fastlane’ Matches Advertised
While match plans can always change, the following bouts are being advertised locally for WWE Fastlane, the last PPV stop before WrestleMania, taking place on March 10th in Cleveland.
-WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles
-Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair
-WWE Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins
There are unconfirmed rumors that despite WWE officially announcing Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35, the bout will likely end up being a Triple Threat match including Charlotte Flair. Given the Fastlane match advertisement, it is possible the bout could carry the stipulation that Flair will be inserted into the WrestleMania bout should she defeat Becky Lynch.
Ember Moon Undergoing Surgery
It looks like WWE Raw star Ember Moon will be sidelined from action for a lengthy amount of time, as WWE has released a video announcing Moon is injured and will require surgery.
“EXCLUSIVE: Ember Moon reveals that she suffered an elbow injury that will require immediate surgery,” reads the WWE Tweet.”Get well soon, Ember!”

An official timetable for Ember Moon’s return is not yet known, but during the video she notes she will be out of the ring for “quite awhile.” While not confirmed, it appears as if the injury occurred when Alexa Bliss hit a stiff standing moonsault on Ember Moon during the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
