The rivalry of Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega has undoubtedly been one of the best rivalries of the decade. Their series of matches dates back to 2015, as the two competed in numerous tag matches against each other with Okada teaming up with former CHAOS stablemates and Omega teaming up with former Bullet Club stablemates.

Their first singles match occurred at Wrestle Kingdom XI, where Okada was successfully able to defend his IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Five months later at Dominion 6.11, Okada again retained his title, but only due to a time limit draw.

However, just two months later, Omega defeated Okada on Day 18 of the G1 Climax tournament, making the series 1-1-1. Omega was able to break the tie at Dominion 6.9, breaking a 720-day IWGP Heavyweight Championship run by Okada, along with a record-breaking 12 title defenses, and commence his first reign as champion. While the vote of the best match within their series of four can be debated, the match at Dominion 6.9 certainly showed the pro wrestling world how riveting their rivalry was over the span of nearly 18 months.
