‘WWE Raw’ Fallout: Ronda Rousey In-Action, Ziggler Stuns McIntyre, Former Champion ‘Fired’

This week’s episode of WWE Raw emanated live from Houston, Texas, and opened with a 10-bell salute to the late George Bush, 41st President of The United States, who was residing in Houston at the time of his death.

The show also featured a tag team match between Ronda Rousey and Natalya vs Nia Jax and Tamina, however, the bout never got underway as it was interrupted by The Riott Squad who laid waste to Natalya by putting her through a table. Rousey was then attacked by Jax and Tamina ahead of Rousey’s Raw Women’s Title match against Jax at WWE TLC.

Also on Raw this week, acting GM Baron Corbin declared this week’s episode of the show as “Drew McIntyre Appreciation Night”, but the ceremony was short-lived as Dolph Ziggler hit the ring and looks to have turned babyface. Ziggler questioned McIntyre seeming to forget about their past alliance, which lead to Ziggler vs McIntyre, a bout which saw interference from Finn Balor and was won by Dolph Ziggler.

The ongoing saga of Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins continued tonight, with Ambrose addressing the live crowd in Houston while wearing a gas mask. Ambrose explained he needed the mask to prevent him from contracting whatever diseases the Houston crowd has, and to shield himself from the crazed Seth Rollins. This lead to Rollins hitting the ring and the two colliding yet again. The segment ended with Ambrose laying Rollins out after attacking him with the gas mask and hitting Dirty Deeds twice.

-Bayley and Sasha Banks defeated Mickie James and Alicia Fox after Bayley pinned Mickie James

-Lucha House Party defeated Scott Dawson via pin fall in a Lucha House Party Rules match

-Dolph Ziggler defeated Drew McIntyre to hand McIntyre his first defeat since returning to WWE

-AOP and Drake Maverick defeated Bobby Roode and Chad Gable in a Handicap Tag Team Match

-Heath Slater defeated Rhyno in a singles match. As a result of the loss, Rhyno has been fired from Raw per acting GM Baron Corbin.
